SIMULATION SOFTWARE FOR MEDICAL LINACS

TESTS

SIMAC Tests

This was the original structure for the SIMAC trials feel free to work through the
steps or just skip ahead and work through the testing structure.

Step 1 | Pre-Test

Please take the following three short quizzes and enter in your study id on the first page. Each of the quizzes will give you all of the data you will need to answer the questions in the scenarios. Please do not worry how you score this is to find a baseline for our overall testing rather than your knowledge of linac physics.

Click on a link below and the quiz will open in a separate tab. Once you have begun a scenario please complete the entire exercise in one sitting.

Step 2.1 | Linac Materials

SIMAC Backstory
In order for you to have a better understand of SIMAC, why it exists and what we hope to achieve with the software. It is required that you to read through the backstory crafted by the systems creator: Marco Carlone.

FAQ
This is still under construction as we have individuals use the software and training materials. Please let us know if you have any questions or run into any issues, using the contact form below!

Step 2.2 | SIMAC Learning

Download SIMAC
For the next section you will need to download SIMAC using this link.
If you have any questions or concerns when it comes to operating SIMAC please read through our User Manual.

Labs
Now that you’ve had some time to play with SIMAC, see our testing scenarios, and learn about the backstory of SIMAC we would like you to work through a training lab. This is where you will be challenged to learn exactly what SIMAC can do and how to properly use it.

Step 3 | Post-Test

You’ve now learned about the backstory of SIMAC, worked through the teaching labs, and had some time to use the software. The final step in this process will be for you to complete the following three scenarios. They are, in fact, the same as the introductory ones. This is done on purpose and will be used to gauge the efficiency and usefulness of our software.

Click on a link below and the quiz will open in a separate tab. Once you have begun a scenario please complete the entire exercise in one sitting.
